Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Confirms TMNT’s April O’Neil & Catdog

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl has confirmed Catdog from Catdog and April O’Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are a part of the brawler’s roster.

During Gamescom 2021’s Future Games Show event, Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl confirmed both Catdog from the show Catdog and April O’Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. These two new Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl characters will be a part of the game at launch and join an already impressive lineup of Nickelodeon properties including SpongeBob SquarePants, AHH! Real Monsters, and Invader Zim.

Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl seems set to translate the same gameplay formula that made Smash Bros. a success for Nintendo to Nickelodeon’s characters, and judging from early gameplay trailers it could be a winning combination. Because Nickelodeon’s game is taking a similar approach to its roster as Smash Bros. does with its character reveals, players have yet to find out just exactly who all will be included at launch. Some speculation has been fueled by character outlines on All-Stars Brawl’s cover art, but now fans have a few more answers.

During the Future Games Show, it was revealed that both Catdog and April O’Neil will be available in Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl at launch. Check out the character reveal trailers below:

These new Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl characters join an already stacked roster. So far, Nickelodeon has confirmed the following characters will also be featured in the game, and there are still more many players expect to see before launch date:

  • Michelangelo
  • Lincoln Loud
  • Powdered Toast Man
  • Sandy Cheeks
  • Patrick Star
  • Oblina
  • Nigel Thornberry
  • Lucy Loud
  • SpongeBob SquarePants
  • Helga
  • Reptar
  • Zim
  • Danny Phantom
  • Leonardo

It’s unclear what other properties Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl will include, or if it will offer something akin to Super Smash Bros. Trophies in order to give representation to characters from Nickelodeon shows that don’t end up on the game’s final roster. No matter who is revealed as the next Nickelodeon character for All-Stars Brawl, however, it’s clear the roster is already very stacked – and the inclusion of April O’Neil from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, along with Michelangelo and Leonardo, means there is likely more turtle power on the way.

This story is developing. Check back soon for updates.
