DC Comics has confirmed that Jon Kent’s Superman is bisexual, as an upcoming story in his ongoing series Superman: Son of Kal-El #5 will see the hero officially come out. DC revealed that what some fans have suspected for a long time, that Jon is queer. A future storyline teases a romance with his new friend Jay Nakamura, which is the first queer romance for DC’s newest Superman.
Jon Kent became DC’s newest Superman after his father Clark Kent left Earth in order to stop Mongul and free a group of enslaved people on Warworld. In his absence, he passed the torch onto Jon – who has shown he’s the right man for the job since officially getting the mantle. During his adventures, he’s developed a friendship with a reporter named Jay, which will blossom into a full-blown romance in the upcoming issue of Superman: Son of Kal-El #5.
